Easyfix Magnetglaze Pro Extreme – large window insulation
The PDF instruction sheet on this page contains a full step-by-step guide to measuring and installing your capping strips using simple household tools. When fitting, make sure to clean and degrease your window surround using our Surface Preparation wipes before sticking the steel tape into position. Additional accessories include the large Mitre Block, for neat 45 degree corners (note that Magnetglaze Pro Extreme is too large for our standard Mitre Block) and you can remove static when peeling off the plastic sheet protective film using our Anti Static Spray.
Glass should never be used with Magnetglaze Pro Extreme, and completed panels are not suitable for an opening door or window frame, for use on roof lights, or for use outdoors.

The products on this page can use glazing sheet of up to 6mm thick, which we are unable to provide. The One Stop Plastic Shop do offer this - they are an independent company with whom we have traded for many years. Please note that as Magnetglaze Pro Extreme purchases already include the magnetic and steel tape they use, you do not need to order Magnetglaze Extreme packs for use with them, although you need to specify and order the Pro Extreme packs/lengths of course!
If there is not enough space on the surfaces of your window surround to fit Magnetglaze Pro Extreme, Window Conversion Angles can be attached on the insides of the frames to give a suitably wide surface. These are strong Angles with a 25mm face, 3mm thick, in white or brown to complement the kits. More information is in the PDF alongside, with product details on the right hand side of this page
There can be window handles, beading, trim or other obstacles that require fitting your Magnetglaze Pro Extreme panel a further away from the window. The combined thickness of the Pro capping and steel/magnetic tapes with their adhesives is just over 4mm, giving you some clearance over the obstacles, but you can also fit our self-adhesive Packing Strips in order to increase this distance. These are flat plastic adhesive strips which are simple to cut and fit. For the Magnetglaze Pro Extreme product, the 25 x 3mm or 25 x 5mm Strips will be the best sizes - fit them to the window frame in the correct position for your panel then stick the steel tape to them, but make sure they are butted up close in order to create a thermal seal for your secondary pane.
