Sliding Secondary Glazing – easy to use, very effective
Trackglaze sliding kits use simple, well designed plastic components to fit within a window cavity. The glazing panels are easy to open, forming a thermal seal when closed, using bristles that are recessed into the tracks. Once fitted, they provide heat and noise insulation along with rapid access to your outer windows.
Trackglaze Horizontal comes in 2m or 1m kits, white or brown. The components are all self-adhesive, with the bristles, finger-pull handles and tracks that fit neatly inside a window cavity (where all the weight of the fitting is fully supported). Use the kits with glass for any size or plastic glazing sheet up to a metre in height. Because Trackglaze can often be positioned with a wide gap to the outer window, there can be comfortable clearance from protruding window fittings and excellent insulation.
Trackglaze Vertical kits are 2m high by 1.2m wide, in white or brown. These also fit within a window cavity, but where a natural cavity is not present (e.g. with most sash windows) you can make one using battens or angles. Kit components are plastic, with strong adhesive where needed.
When using this system, the panes are raised or lowered by hand and propped shut or open at a chosen height – only plastic panels can be used with Trackglaze Vertical as a result.
